"Stuff a sock in it"

We stayed right next to the Calgary 1988 Olympic Park - funny to see all of those old ski jumps etc... We have had the best weather during the last week, so of course we woke up to another beautiful sunshiny day.  Greg actually has close relatives in Calgary - his aunt and uncle Della Mae and Tom Wood.  After attending their stake conference, we enjoyed spending the afternoon with them - eating delicious Chinese food and exchanging stories.  They have lived in Calgary for over 20 years but this is our first visit, long overdue obviously.  Greg brought up our last visit when Della Mae and I had gotten into it about public vs. private education, and this is where she told me to "stuff a sock in it."  And now you all know how much you would like Greg's Aunt Della Mae.  Uncle Tom got Mason all excited to attend Quest University in Squamish, BC.  After serving as the president at Mount Royal College in Calgary for 15 years, Tom was hired to develop the curriculum, hire the faculty and develop the business plan for a brand new university, Quest (http://www.questu.ca).  He also stayed on as President for one year (they wanted him to stay for three). We have always thought that Uncle Tom  may be one of the smartest people we know, but we didn't know any of this - and it would have been great to have known all of this when we actually visited Squamish: thus we have learned a lesson about keeping in better touch with our loved ones.  We stopped in Cardston to look at the first temple built outside the US.  The sweet old couple running the visitor center was so happy to have us there that were it not for Greg's suave social skills, we may not have made it to the border before it closed (yes, its true, the border between Alberta and Montana closes at 11)
