We have LOVED our little sojourn in Virginia with our cousins. Laura & Paul Brinton, along with kids Emma, Ellie, Phoebe, Hyrum, Porter (named for us of course) and Sawyer have been impeccable hosts, still smiling after repeated thrashings of their home – and the home cooked dinners? Wow – we might never leave.
Tyson and Brittany Anderson also hung out with us on Halloween with their sweet Lilly, Walker and Mallory. Brittany serenaded us all night with her gorgeous singing voice. Greg paid Paul $100 not to sing for us. It was like a family reunion!
The kids, while initially confused by the concept of cousins that they had never met, took all of five minutes to act like they have known each other all their lives. And to go to church with someone whom they are already friends with was a welcomed change of pace. It has been a great day all around. Plus this neighborhood looks like a postcard – and the neighbors are totally accepting of the RV taking up half the cu-de-sac. We even had trick-or-treaters knock on the door.
How did the orange Jack-O-Lanterns turn out? Just curious...
