After a nice holiday weekend, it was back to touring. Lucky for us, the Brinton’s decided to join us for the day. Their kids were out of school and Paul had the day off. So first order of business was breakfast at IHOP.
Then we headed to Colonial Williamsburg and Jamestown - with all 15 of us in the RV. The kids had a great time on the ride down and once we got there - although I think it had more to do with hanging out with cousins than it did the fascinating living history available in Williamsburg. But hey - at least they know this is where it all happened, AND they got to meet General Lafayette.
We knew we'd become a true party bus when we couldn’t pay Paul enough money not to dance on the dashboard. Laura even took a turn driving the RV – she is much braver than I. We think that she may start moonlighting as a truck driver till Paul gets out of school.

Your Halloween looked fun with all the kids. I'm sure everyone loved the infusion of new people. Williamsburg is fun. We stayed at a bed and breakfast in Williamsburg that was an old civil war era house that was turned into a hospital during the civil war. Legend has it that it was haunted. We stayed in "Lizzy's" room and people have seen her ghost in the room we were in. She would sit in the window and wait for her boyfriend who was off to war to come home. A fascinating house and the owners had some really great stories.
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous! Jealous that you got to see the Brinton's and jealous that they got to hang out with your family! I'm glad everyone got reacquainted. Laura said it was SO much fun and that they didn't want you to leave!
