What? Well it just so happened that our sojourn in Seattle coincided with the city's annual music and arts festival at Seattle Center - this event "Bumbershoot" was one that we were definitely going to pass on when the forecast called for rain, but which seemed exponentially more appealing when we woke up to somewhat blue skies. Well to be honest, I still was voting to skip it, but Greg and the kids overruled me and so we headed back into Seattle and the festival just in time to catch the end of Katy Perry's concert and all of The All-American Rejects. It was quite a scene but the kids (especially Mason and Kambria) seemed to enjoy it. And we got to use our annual pass to the Science Fiction Museum one more time (actually we just stopped to use the restrooms on our way out of the festival - but eliminating the use of the concert port-a-potties made the membership totally worth it in my opinion). Also, though we usually have eagle eyes for the "not a thru street" or "no outlet" or "no turn around," signs, today for the first time, we actually drove the RV down a road where there was no ability to turn around (we can't back up with the car being towed), so we had to actually detach the car to get out of there - it was somewhere in Bellevue - beautiful neighborhood but...narrow streets. We drove late in an attempt to make up for our extra day in Seattle, the kids jamming in all the school work that they missed during our city tours. LDS meeting finder is off-line so we'll be scrambling in the morning.

Bumpershoot is the festival. Sounds like a ride in an Amusement park.
ReplyDeleteI can just hear Greg mumbling about detaching to turn around. Dagny would love it if I could never back up.
