I wish we weren't in Kansas anymore


We woke up in Kansas; we drove all day; we went to bed in Kansas. For some reason, the kids did not consider this day to be a trip highlight. "Why do we have to write in our journals? we didn't even do anything all day!"

    I think we're fugitives in Kansas. When we were moving back to Virginia 20+ years ago, I remember that long, ugly drive. Thor was getting impatient and was speeding across the state trying to get out of Kansas. We were pulled over and given a speeding ticket. He was so mad I don't think he ever paid he. We didn't plan on going back there and havent't been back.

    you should have stopped at Jon's parents in Topeka- they would have been great hosts! It's actually a pretty part of kansas (reminds me of the east coast w/ all the trees and what not). Also Jon says it only takes 7 or 8 hours to drive through Kansas, so Greg most be a slow driver or something :-)
