What could have been a very boring maintenance day was rescued in the nick of time. We said our goodbyes to the Brintons and then headed to a UPS office near Richmond to pick up a new bike rack that has been following us around the East coast for a week or so. Greg and Mason installed that while I got the kids going on schoolwork for the first time in a few days. We were headed to Maryland where we needed to drop the RV off for service, but on the way got a call from the Brintons, inviting our kids to join them on a trip to the National Zoo. Of course that sounded much more fun than school so we met on the side of the highway and handed off all five kids to Laura & Paul.
Greg & I then continued to land of RV repairs and service and got everyone packed for a few days in DC. We met up with the kids after a fun day (them) and went to dinner at a greasy diner near the Washington DC temple. And then it was time to say goodbye to our cousins for real- so sad. We then checked into our DC digs just in time for a late night swim in the hotel pool.
